The AI Ad Machine Story
To be completely honest, I never really believed that what I call “consumer level AI” would become a reality in my lifetime. It always felt like the stuff of movies and sci-fi — worlds where all of human knowledge could be accessed in an instant. Usually for evil, according to Hollywood, but still… it was literally out of this world.
Then Sam Altman and his team released ChatGPT in November 2022 — and I had to pinch myself. Suddenly, AI was real, and the world changed forever.
If you’re old enough to remember the birth of consumer-level Internet back in the early nineties, you’ll recall it was a slow burn. Connecting the world through a screen was revolutionary, but the excitement was balanced by nearly a decade of refinement — improving speed, usability, and access before it became mainstream.
Not so with AI. One day we didn’t have it. The next day, we did.
The Pain of Traditional Advertising
As a long-time social media advertiser, I’ve been burned more times than I can count.
A few years back, I spent weeks mastering Meta’s Ads Manager and thought I finally had it figured out… until one day, everything changed. Suddenly, it was like trying to read another language.
Then I hired an agency. They pressured me into a long contract, charged thousands each month for their “services,” took over my Meta account, and then added 25% on top of my ad spend as a management fee!
When the results weren’t exactly mind-blowing, I called them up — only to be told I needed to be patient.
“These things take time, Ray,” they said. “You need to let Facebook and Instagram learn about your services so your organic reach can complement your daily budget.”
Sound familiar?
Most business owners I know have gone through something similar. Sometimes you have to kiss a few frogs to find a prince, as the saying goes. But the road to social media success is littered with the naïve, the trusting, and everyone in between — myself included.
I’ve paid my dues.
My Mission: Liberating Small Business Marketing
My mission with AI Ad Machine is simple: to liberate marketing for business owners like me.
Followers are largely irrelevant now (unless you’re Taylor Swift).
And targeting? It’s taken a serious hit thanks to Apple’s App Tracking Transparency, which limits how effectively ads can be targeted across apps.
The world has changed.
Is social media marketing dead?
Not even close.
But if you can harness the power of AI to create compelling ad copy, live-test dozens of ad combinations, and automatically send your budget to the top performers, you can hack the system.
You’ll save a fortune on social media campaigns — and explode your reach in the process.
The First Test: Adam’s Story
AI Ad Machine began as a platform to help my real estate clients better compete in their local markets.
My background is in residential real estate — an industry now under siege by massive property portals trying to control the entire buyer-seller journey. They dominate search results with deep pockets and endless resources. My mission was to help independent agents reclaim the traffic those monopolies had taken.
My first test pilot was a client named Adam.
Adam runs a one-man real estate business in a regional Queensland city. He’d recently switched brands, only to realize that a new logo wasn’t going to change his results. What he really needed was traffic — and he needed it yesterday.
So we gave AI Ad Machine its first real test.
We uploaded his property description and a few images, hit “Generate,” and let the system go to work.
Adam had tried paid social ads before — without success — so he was understandably skeptical.
I told him that if it didn’t work, I’d pay for it myself.
By day three, Adam’s campaign had received over 100 clicks to his website — at just 2 cents per click.
His previous best was over $1 per click.
Then we checked his click-through rate: 37% — compared to the industry average of just 1.75%.
Needless to say, Adam was sold.
The Results and the Road Ahead
The core mission of AI Ad Machine is to give business owners a platform that can hack the system — creating high-performance ads that cost a fraction of what traditional campaigns do.
And that’s exactly what it delivers.
From that first test, word started spreading.
We began hearing from other business owners — from real estate to retail, cafés to service providers — all reporting incredible results using the same platform.
Adam’s results were extraordinary, and while not every campaign will achieve clicks as low as two cents, most of our clients are seeing dramatically lower costs than ever before.
I’m thrilled to be part of something so exciting — using AI to revolutionize how small businesses advertise and compete.
The journey continues… and the best part is, we’re just getting started.
